Green Crack Strain Description
Green Crack is a best-selling sativa dominant hybrid named for the extremely strong, energetic high its buds induce. Green Crack marijuana is super sticky and coated in glistening trichomes. Equally impressive scents and tropical flavors match the strain’s superb bag appeal. Green Crack is an ideal “wake and bake” smoke for getting motivated. Up to 22% THC.
Green Crack Origin and Genetics
Green Crack’s origins are disputed. It is generally believed to have been created in Athens, Georgia, resulting from crossing a 1989 SSSC Skunk #1 to an isolated Afghani cutting. Other sources claim Green Crack was developed in 1990 by the breeder Cecil C. from Athens, Ohio, using exclusively 1989 SSSC Skunk #1 genetics. Regardless of which story is true, the strain represents an old Skunk variety in its finest. Initially referred to as Cush, Snoop Dogg called it Green Crack, and the name stuck. To this day, it remains one of the most popular marijuana strains sold in the US.
How to Grow Green Crack
Green Crack is often recommended to beginner growers due to the strain’s vigor, resistance to mold, and overall ease of growth. It is a 60% sativa that can grow massive if allowed, so indoor growers are advised to flower early, as the plants will stretch in height during their 8 to 10 weeks of bloom. SCROG or LST methods are used to bring yields over 500 g/m2. Outdoors, Green Crack can produce over 6 pounds per plant, ready to harvest by the end of September.

LAS VEGAS, Feb. 06, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Player’s Network, Inc. (OTCMARKETS: PNTV), a rapidly growing company in the adult use and medical marijuana industry, with operations in Nevada and Argentina, announced today they just received a serious boost in support (and firepower) from the Argentine government, more specifically, the provincial government of Jujuy, with the passing of all security protocols proposed by the Cannabis Avatara Sociedad del Estado. These protocols are specifically designed to protect the largest cannabis operation in the world currently taking place between the province of Jujuy, Argentina and Green Leaf Farms.
An MOU was announced November 12, 2018 between Green Leaf Farms and the Province of Jujuy, Argentina to spearhead the development of the legal cannabis industry in Argentina that will begin with creating products primarily for exportation to legal jurisdictions. The joint venture also plans to provide cannabis oils to hospitals for testing and clinical trials on epilepsy patients. In order to move the project forward, it was necessary to receive approvals from the national security administration of Argentina and the medical cannabis cultivation plan of the government of Jujuy.
The passing of this resolution allows the military and local law enforcement to protect, secure and defend every aspect of the joint partnership taking place between Green Leaf Farms and the government of Argentina. All security efforts will be coordinated through the Ministry of Security of the Province to include the implementation of security recently installed in Finca El Pongo where the first germination stage of the plants is expected to take place.
The joint venture between Green Leaf Farms and Jujuy owned company Cannava invested the necessary resources to implement a top notch security plan that included the installation of exterior street lighting, security checkpoint with armed local police, camera systems, power upgrades, communication systems and more.
Mark Bradley CEO of PNTV stated, “receiving security approval and the approval to import Cannabis seeds for the first time in the history Argentina was not an easy undertaking. It required substantial protocol and education on the industry and what it can do to help boost job creations. This was a team effort between Green Leaf and Cannava to reach this important milestone with the federal government that will allow our project to move forward.”
Bradley adds, “With the help of the government we installed the security system and adaptation of a jointly created security protocol and infrastructure in lightning speed, showing the dedication to making our project successful, I want to thank Gaston Morales CEO of Cannava and his entire team for their hard work.
