Rather than a reservoir, the aerated solution uses an aquarium aerator, making it possible to aerate the medium and provide a constant fresh supply of nutrient solution.
Nutrient Film Technique (NFT)
What makes the nutrient film technique stand out is that it doesn’t use a growth medium, allowing plant roots to grow extensively. Roots are constantly exposed to the nutrient solution via a fast-flowing, aerated currents, providing continual nourishment and oxygen. This method is ideal for larger-scale commercial grows.
Nutrients For Hydroponic Cannabis

About 3 weeks after I did this, the truck overheated while pulling a trailer. I thought this was odd because it wasn’t a large payload. I looked underneath the truck and found that I had been filtering the air so well at the front of the truck that it was simply pulling air in between the radiators underneath the truck. So it had enough grass seed in it to reseed a suburban yard.
Now I just run a screen from the front to down underneath the truck, creating a complete cage. This works pretty good for me.
